Here is a breakdown of the Big Trash Pick-Up Plan…..
Big Trash Pickup begins October 6th. All acceptable trash items are to be placed near the curb for collection. Republic will send two different teams for pickup. Team 1 will pick up the weekly trash contained in the totes. Team 2 will pick up the large trash items. Please place the large trash items 3’ from the tote, so Team 1 can access the tote. Team 1 will complete pickup on Monday, October 6th. Team 2 may not complete the route on Monday depending on the number of large trash items placed for collection. Team 2 will continue picking up items through the week along the route until the entire route has been completed. It is imperative that all items for large trash collection be placed near the curb by 6am on Monday, October 6th in order for Team 2 to collect the large trash items throughout the city as efficiently as possible.
Reminder: Mattresses and box springs must be completely wrapped in plastic for collection. Items that will are NOT acceptable are construction/building materials, electronics including televisions and appliances including but not limited to microwaves, refrigerators, and stoves.
